We feel it. We transfer and transform it. We hold and wield it. Some contain it with grace and others hold it over the heads of subordinates like an ax. There is no doubt that we feel differently when it’s gone. Power can create and it can destroy, though power itself can be neither created nor destroyed. Through unfair treatment and lack of consideration, its effects can be obliterated, and that is not always a good thing.
In business and in life, there’s no way to get away from the concept, and how we deal with power, whether it be in the form of a government, utility, or spiritual entity. When it’s out of balance in our lives, power can create anything from a mild sense of depression to an all out revolution.
