Fifty-One O One – the student-run restaurant at Henry Ford College (HFC), located in the Student & Culinary Arts Center on the main campus – will hosts its annual Oktoberfest Buffet on Wednesday, Oct. 8.
The menu is as follows:
Bavarian potato soup;
Frankenmuth style chicken;
Sauerbraten carved to order;
Bratwurst and knackwurst with red cabbage späetzle;
Hot German potato salad; and
Glazed baby carrots.
Additionally, there will be a salad bar, where customers can choose from the following:
Tossed garden salad with assorted dressings;
Roasted root vegetable salad with horseradish vinaigrette;
Assorted pickled and fresh vegetables;
Cucumbers with dill-sour cream dressing; and
Pickled beet salad.
For dessert, the following is available:
Apple strudel;
Black forest torte;
Cheesecake with assorted toppings;
German Stollen bread; and
Assorted sweet rolls.
For Oktoberfest, the restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for lunch and 6 to 8 p.m. for dinner. The price of the buffet is $14 per person. A cash bar featuring beer and wine is available for purchase during the dinner hours only. Reservations are recommended.
