Good golly! Eight-month-old Holly has been through a whole lot. She was found by a resident after being hit by a car in July. Myriad X-rays later, we discovered that this tough little terrier’s pelvis was broken in three places.
Holly’s pelvis was so displaced she required surgery at Michigan State University (MSU), which included a bone plate and several screws. Her recovery will extend at least nine more weeks and will involve even more visits back to MSU. Woofs of thanks to Dr. Linda Schrier at VetSelect Dearborn for overseeing Holly’s journey.
According to Dr. Schrier, Holly is recovering well, already walking a little, but still resting a lot per doctor’s orders. The good doctor also predicts no long-term effects on Holly’s ability to walk, love, or lick your face exuberantly!
