Media representatives are invited to attend the Business Leaders for Michigan Supplier Summit, a Pure Michigan Business Connect matchmaking event to connect purchasers to suppliers on Wednesday, October 8 at the Lansing Center. The morning session begins promptly at 9 am.
Hosted by Business Leaders for Michigan (BLM) in partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), the Supplier Summit will bring together 39 Michigan companies with 445 suppliers from around the state for pre-arranged, exclusive purchaser-supplier matchmaking opportunities.
The event will open with keynote remarks by BLM President and CEO Doug Rothwell and a panel discussion on investment and opportunity in Michigan. Panel participants will include:
Dan Malone, senior vice president of Distribution Operations, Engineering and Transmission, Consumers Energy
Steve Marquardt, vice president, Olympia Development of Michigan LLC
Dave Meador, vice chairman and chief administrative officer, DTE Energy
The panel discussion will be moderated by Pure Michigan Business Connect Managing Director Trevor Pawl. MEDC President and CEO Michael A. Finney will provide closing remarks.
