For 22 years, the Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD), in partnership with the Michigan Waste Industries Association, has hosted this annual conference, focusing on cutting-edge technological innovations and solutions related to the solid waste industry.
This year will be no exception. New topics and expert presenters will make this conference the must attend event of 2012.
In addition to the keynote presentation, the conference will feature experts in alternative energy and leading edge waste management practices to help attendees learn about issues related to policy, new technologies, regulatory update and the future of the solid waste industry.
A pre-conference training session, designed to provide practical guidance on landfill technological issues will take place on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Relevant issues will be related to geosynthetics, landfill gas management, and biosolids management.
Training will be led by representatives of the regulated community, engineers, and manufacturer’s engineers to ensure a broad perspective of the issues impacting solid waste management practices.
