Preparing “new employee packets” is typically a no-brainer for Human Resources employees. Tax forms, company manual, map of the building, a list of key contacts in the organization, maybe a discount card to use when purchasing from area businesses.
Now imagine if you were the HR Director responsible for the preparation of these materials for 1,500 new employees hired to staff a new hospital. Yikes!
The Easy Green Shop solution was to present every employee with a password-protected USB drive pre-loaded with all the documentation and materials they needed. We partitioned the drive so that the critical information could not be deleted, yet there was still plenty of space for employees to use the drives as storage devices. We also made it easy for the employees to navigate: when they plugged the device into their computer, a Pop-up Window featured a Table of Contents of what was the drive.
Best of all, this idea saved our client $5,000 in printing costs. (Yeah, we were feeling really warm and fuzzy…)
